Welcome to Wangaratta Campground!

Our friendly Campground Managers are here to make your stay safe and enjoyable. By entering the campground, you agree to abide by the following rules:


Location 


Wangaratta Showgrounds

  • Enter via Golf Links Rd.
  • Please dont line up before 11am on Golf Links Rd
  • Walking Distance to Concert at Rodeo Grounds


Facilities

  • Limited Toilets and limited showers available on-site.
  • Both powered and non-powered sites are available.
  • Mix of site on grass and asphalt. First in first served basis
  • Please note this is not a Caravan park and therefore does not have the same facilities as a Caravan Park


Arrival and Departure


Check-In: Friday: 12pm – 8pm or Saturday: 8am – 11am
If arriving outside these hours, please call the hotline: 03 5988 4040.

Please note : you will not be able to access showground before Friday. If you are coming into town earlier you will need to find other accommodation 

Check-Out: Sunday: Before 11am

Campground Guidelines:

  • Keep your campsite clean and within its designated boundaries.
  • Digging trenches around campsites is strictly prohibited.
  • Fires of any kind are forbidden. Violating this rule will result in immediate removal from the site, and your wristband will be revoked.
  • Always wear your campground wristband and display your car permit in your vehicle window. Lost wristbands or permits will require a replacement fee.
  • Camping in a tent or erecting a marquee? Ensure your setup is sturdy and securely anchored.


Visitor Policy:

  • Only those with a valid camping ticket or wristband are allowed in the campgrounds.
  • For security reasons, non-camping visitors are not permitted. Visitors without the correct wristband will be removed from the festival, and their event wristband will be confiscated.


Camping Ticket Information

  • One Ticket Per Site: Each camping ticket covers the entire site, and your group will receive camping wristbands based on the number of people allocated to that site.
  • Choose the Right Size: Ensure you select the appropriate number and size of campsites to accommodate your group and tent/van setup.
  • Concert Tickets Required: Camping tickets do not include concert entry. Concert tickets must be purchased separately. Please note, camping is only available to those who also hold a concert ticket.


Can We Reserve Spots for Friends?

  • Campsites are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To camp together, you and your friends should arrive together or have one of your group hold a spot


Vehicle and Speed Limit Rules:

  • Vehicles must be driven at 8km/h or slower (walking pace).
  • Vehicles must be parked in designated areas only. Roadways must remain clear at all times.
  • Bicycles, scooters, and skateboards are allowed with proper safety gear but must not exceed walking pace. Usage is permitted only between 8:30am and dusk.


Children’s Safety:

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children, particularly near roads, water, and amenities.

Pet Policy:

  • Maximum of two pets per campsite.
  • Pets must always be kept on a leash and cannot be left unattended.
  • Pet waste must be cleaned up and disposed of in designated bins.


Noise, Nuisance, and Prohibited Activities:

  • Keep noise to a minimum to avoid disturbing other campers.
  • Noise curfew: 11pm – 8am.
  • Generators are not allowed after 8:00pm.
  • Illegal substances, excessive alcohol consumption, disruptive behavior, or any form of violence will not be tolerated and may result in police involvement.
  • Disrespectful behavior toward other guests or campground staff is strictly prohibited.


No Smoking:

Guests must comply with Queensland’s smoking laws.

Waste Disposal:

The festival adheres to a strict "Leave No Trace" policy. Be prepared to take all rubbish and belongings back with you.

Emergencies and Evacuations:

In case of an emergency, follow evacuation procedures to the designated assembly point.
During severe weather conditions, guests must evacuate the campground without exception.

Indemnity and Conditions of Stay:

  • Guests agree to indemnify the organisers and their representatives against any claims or damages resulting from negligence or rule violations by the guest or their visitors.
  • Guests are fully responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to their property. The organisers are not liable for such incidents.
  • Failure to comply with these rules will result in immediate eviction from the campground without refund.

FAQ CONCERT EXPERIENCE 


WHAT YOU CAN BRING

To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience, we recommend bringing:

  • A wide-brimmed hat and sunscreen for sun protection
  • Camp chair for seating
  • Rain poncho in case of rain
  • Non-professional camera for capturing memories
  • One sealed bottle of water (not exceeding 750ml; refill stations available on-site)
  • Snack food (chips, biscuits, etc.) and any special dietary food you may require


PROHIBITED ITEMS

For the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, the following items are strictly prohibited:

  • BYO beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) – This is a fully licensed event with a wide selection of wines, beers, ciders, spirits, and food truck offerings catering to all dietary needs
  • Soft drinks and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Umbrellas and shade structures (limited exceptions at the back of the venue; please check with staff upon entry)
  • Glass items
  • Metal cutlery
  • Tables
  • Pets

  • Alcohol service will not be provided to patrons under 18.
  • Patrons are prohibited from taking alcohol off-site at the end of the event, whether opened or sealed.
